What did you do this past week?

This past week was busy for me because I had two homework projects due as well as an exam. I spend most of the week finishing these assignments and studying for my exam. Besides that, I got to work out and play with my team in our first IM Ultimate Frisbee game this semester.

What’s in your way?

The only thing in my way is making sure that I spend my time efficiently and that I try to mitigate procrastinating. Assignments in my other classes are picking up, so it is important that I make time to get everything done. Since some of my assignments are group projects, it is not as easy to work because we have to meet at times when everyone is available.

What will you do next week?

I will continue working on Phase 1 with my group next week. I hope that we can get a lot done early in the week so that we can relax closer to the deadline. I also have homework in my other classes to work on as well as an exam to study for. I expect this exam to be relatively challenging, so I plan on spending a lot of time preparing for it. I also hope to get a couple of workouts in next week.

What was your experience of iteration, AWS, and Chef Secure?

I found the lecture on iteration useful because it seems like something that will come up a lot in the future with Python code. Regarding the AWS lecture, I found myself zoning out frequently because I was not as engaged with it. I enjoyed the ChefSecure though because it was very easy to understand and showed us a brief glimpse of basic web design.

What made you happy this week?

I am happy because I did well on my exam this week and we made some good progress on our project for Phase 1. I am also happy that I got to play ultimate frisbee this week, which is something I always look forward to every semester.

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

I found a GitHub that provided links to APIs for almost everything that you would be interested in, ranging from animals to business to food. It was fun to see that there were so many APIs out there for our use, and some of them were pointless other than for the sake of fun. I think it would be cool if I get the opportunity to use it in some future projects.
